Little Gull Larus minutus
Lovely to see the pair of Little Gulls this morning at Farlington Marshes and many photos included below. Note the small size when compared to the relatively small Black-headed Gull Larus ridibundus along the small, pointed black beak. Then, when in flight, very much reminiscent of a feeding tern, especially the Whiskered Terns Chlidonias niger that we are used to watching in Spain.

In flight, the wing pattern on the Little Gull reminded me or of an Avocet than a gull! |
